A Freefall-Style Descent Experience

Powerfan Systems provide a freefall-style descent experience using a specialist device designed to allow rapid acceleration at the start of the descent before progressively slowing the participant near the lower section of travel.

This creates an experience much closer to freefall than conventional controlled-descent devices, while still providing a repeatable operating format for camps, schools and adventure sites.

Systems may be configured as standalone attractions or integrated into suitable towers, gantries, bridges, buildings or other elevated structures.

Pole Mounted Powerfan

Adventure Developments’ standard Pole Mounted Powerfan is a registered device configured as a compact standalone vertical attraction.

The typical pole-mounted system provides an approximately 13 m descent and is designed around clear access, controlled participant management and repeatable operation.

This configuration is well suited to sites seeking a defined freefall-style activity with a relatively compact footprint.

Integration Options

Powerfan devices may also be integrated into a range of suitable elevated structures where the site, structure and operating model support the activity.

Depending on the selected device, available height and site conditions, descent systems may be configured for larger drops, including 20 m, 30 m or even 100 m.

Potential integration structures may include towers, gantries, bridges, buildings or other suitable points subject to feasibility, structural suitability and operational assessment.
