About Adventure Developments
Australian OEM support for adventure infrastructure.
Adventure Developments designs, builds, documents and supports adventure structures, zip line systems and related activity assets for education, recreation and outdoor activity environments.
Our work sits at the meeting point of adventure, engineering, practical construction and long-term asset support.
Built to Last. Still Performing.
Adventure Developments has been operating in Australia since 2008.
Many of the structures built by Adventure Developments in the early years of the business are still operating today. Structures built in 2011 and 2012 continue to perform well because they were physically well built, carefully considered and supported by a strong engineering backbone.
The regulatory environment has changed significantly since those structures were first delivered. In response, Adventure Developments has rebuilt its business around OEM responsibility, registered designs, documentation, inspection, maintenance and lifecycle support.
This transition has been challenging, but it has also confirmed something important: well-designed and well-built structures can remain supportable over time when their design basis, documentation and maintenance pathway are properly understood.
What We Are About
Adventure Developments creates adventure apparatus for education, therapy and recreation.
Our structures are designed to provide opportunities for people to take meaningful, supported risks — to challenge themselves, build confidence, connect with others and experience the vitality that comes from doing something real.
We believe good adventure design depends on balance: risk and reward, challenge and safety, structure and freedom, technical discipline and human experience.
Our aim is to distil adventure into clear, memorable moments while supporting operators with systems that are safe, documented, inspectable and built for long-term use.
We value kindness to ourselves, our co-workers, our clients, our suppliers and the natural world.
We believe the way work is done matters as much as the finished structure. Relationships, communication, care and craft are part of the product.
