SERVICE: DESIGN AND BUILD
WE ARE A SMALL, UNIQUELY QUALIFIED TEAM
We offer three clearly defined service tiers to match different operational needs and in-house capabilities:
- Level 1 – Basic Build A design and build package, with handover documentation, for operators with significant internal capability.
- Level 2 – Build + Training Includes all of Level 1, plus on-site operator training to ensure your team is confident in day-to-day use.
- Level 3 – Full Service Our most comprehensive offering: Includes all of Level 2, plus support to develop the logbook, obtain commissioning inspection and certificate from competent person.
In addition, clients may choose to include:

Maintenance agreement, providing scheduled servicing, and record keeping in compliance with SafeWork and AS/NZS requirements

Supply of operating equipment, including harnesses, trolleys, helmets, lanyards, and other components matched to the final design

Support blocks, for document creation, compliance updates, or staff retraining as needed
the Build Process typically Advances throgh most of the following stages
Proposal:
- When we understand your needs we can offer an initial proposal.
- The proposal will contain an estimate of the costs for the project.
- The proposal will offer a firm cost for the site visit.
- A site visit is required in almost all cases before a firm quote can be provided.
Planning, Quote, Contracts:
- When you accept the initial proposal, we will arrange the visit to make sure the structure will fit and function at your site.
- we may need to make changes to the inital design.
- After the visit and minor changes we can offer a firm quote, and prepare general arrangement drawings for planning.
- It will be necessary to exchange contracts. Adventure Developments has some standard terms and conditions.
Compliance, Design, Fabrication, Purchasing.
When we agree terms, you accept the quote, and pay a deposit, we:
- Start project planning, prepare SWMS, risk assessments, manuals etc.
- Book the construction dates in the calendar, construction lead times vary depending on the style of course, location, and the season. Generally, they are between two and six months.
- Start detailing, buying, fabrications and assembling.
Installation:
- Typically our team will undertake all core building works.
- Excavate and install footings and concrete.
- Erect poles / steelwork.
- Fit elements, safety systems, platforms.
- Conduct function testing and proof loading.
Completion:
- Handover training is provided with all new Adventure Developments installations. We show your staff the essential points of operation and maintenance.
- Maintainence manuals
- Operations manuals
- Rescue procedures
- Design certificate
After Construction:
- As part of the service, Adventure Developments will return to your site after approx. one month, it will be an opportunity to fix any teething problems, and make sure all of your expectations have been met.
WE ALSO OFFER
Design Only
Some projects are too big for our crew, but we have much experience in design projects, especially with large ziplines.
Build Only
If you have a full design already completed, depending on our comitments, we may be able to work with you to assemble it.
modify existing
Modifications which go beyond routine maintenance, can include things like upgrading the safety system, or changing the dynamics of a zipline. Such modifications require regulators to be notified of design changes in some states.
