ZIPLINES
ZIP LINES
Ziplines are popular now, they are on kids TV shows and in hollywood movies, they are in toddlers playgrounds and on the strip at Vegas.
We group them into the following categories:
- Traditional Zip Lines for education centers.
- Zip Line tours.
- High tension and high speed Zip Lines.
- Playground Zip Lines, suitable for unsupervised use.
- DIY Zip Line kits. For home or group use.
When designing a Zip line, there are a number of things to consider.
- Who will use it?, Size, weight? How will users be harnessed ? Sitting ? Prone?. EG on long zip lines, arrival speeds are affected by as much as 50kmph depending on the riders drag.
- Will it be used commercially or in a domestically.
- The throughput capacity should be considered, particularly if the zip line must meet financial targets, – refining the access and the dismount methods can improve throughput. Making access more simple, with staircases can also improve throughput dramatically.
- A thrilling fast ride must come to an end, calculating arrival speed and specifiying a suitable brake is crucial.

WE GET IT – MORE GOES, LESS WAITING = MORE FUN.
Ziplines have changed alot in outdoor centres over the last 20 years. The old format of a single zip line, where kids wait an hour for their turn isnt getting very good reviews these days.
With the TWIN ZIPS we aim to maximise throughput and operating efficiencies.
